It's my mom's birthday today!!!! Happy birthday mom!!!
Happy Easter everyone!!!
We woke up this morning with a special delivery from the Easter Bunny and then started getting ready for church. I was so excited to take pictures of Anna Kate. Her dress was so pretty and she looked beautiful. However, I know not to expect such things on a Holiday...ever. Her shoes were a tiny bit big and they were 'bothering' her. The meltdown that ensued was ridiculous.
Here's how things started.

And that's what she gave me when I asked for her pretty girl smile.
After we both huffed back into the house, then stomped back out to the car, we proceeded to sit in the driveway until she got herself under control. GREAT start to our Easter morning....
But then we got to church, enjoyed Sunday school, beautiful music and a wonderful message.

We ate lunch, then Jeff hid the eggs while I cleaned up the kitchen.
Turned out to be a lovely day after all :) :)
After several weeks of getting frustrated with learning to ride sans training wheels on our hill, we decided to take Anna Kate to the old Wal-Mart parking lot where it's flat.
She told us that God had given her the courage to do this!
But she was still a bit nervous
And then she was off!
Like a lightening bolt!!!
But needed to stop for a brief rest. LOL!
She told me I was distracting her with my camera
So I was banished to the car. Sigh.........
She did so awesome! Not one single crash and she is so proud of herself!
I don't recommend them!!! I saw the kit at the store and thought to myself, "Ooo, sparkles and bright girlie colors - Anna Kate will LOVE these!"...
A) Anna Kate slept through the entire process, so I don't know if she LOVED them or not.
B) It was a huge mess.
I'll agree with one of my friends who said she could have painted the eggs better with glitter nail polish!!! 
They did turn out pretty though :)
And are all ready to be hidden after church tomorrow

Anna Kate spent the night with her BFF last night so Jeff and I opted for a sunset cruise on The Lady Lee so I could get some pics. After a brief 'duh' moment (**cough-Jeff-cough**), we were on our way :)

These kids were serious business about their eggs. The teacher asked us moms to redistribute the eggs so each basket had the same number. OMG, the drama over these plastic eggs. LOL!
