One Time

I don't think these girls will ever get tired of Justin Bieber. I mean, really. It's ridiculous.

Anna Kate had her BFF spend the night Wednesday since it was their last day of school. They wanted to make up dance routines to JB's song "One Time", but neither wanted to share the spotlight, so they each did one. Do you even know how hard it was for me not to bust out laughing?!?!!!!

Anna Kate's

Anslee's

Now you know that pretty dang funny!!!!!
But oh no, that wasn't enough. The next morning they came in the kitchen wearing this:

Aren't you digging Anslee's 'tuxedo'????

They even had various prom dances choreographed :)

Tie Dying

Anna Kate loves to tie dye things, but her mama prefers to do the actual dying and let AK do the big reveal :)

Anna Kate wanted to do matching tanks for she and her BFF :)

I can see now that I will need an 'activity' of some sort everyday this summer or AK might die of boredom *insert rolling eyes here*.

Before I Get Disowned....

My dad actually asked me earlier in the week if I had changed the address to my blog. How sad is that?! It's been that long since I updated....sorry about that. One would think since I'm at home now (instead of working) that I would have a ton of free time on my hands. One would be wrong. LOL!

Field Day Fun Day
At the end of every school year the school has an activity day for the kids. Parents are asked to volunteer to help, which I have always done. This year I was assigned to the baton relay. Let me preface this by saying that it was honestly 98 degrees out and for whatever reason, our 'station' was the ONLY one that didn't have a tent for shade. Awesome. I won't go into a lot of details, but suffice it to say that between a water slide (that the parents didn't know about, therefore didn't dress our children appropriately), wet/sticky clothes and shoes, hot, thirsty and ill, it was pretty much a disaster.

I knew the minute I saw the water slide that if that was the first thing Anna Kate's class go on, she would be ready to go home as soon as she got off of it. And I was right. Our station was right after the slide, so putting shoes on wet and dirty feet to run a relay was not what those kids wanted to do....AK chose to sit out for the relay, so I took pictures of her BFF, Anslee.

Jumping hurdles :)

Between finding a snake, breaking up two fights, hauling one off to the principle and having two special needs boys wondering around without a teacher in sight, well, I was so relieved when my three-hour shift was up! AK and I bolted before anyone could stop us....

Tuesday's Tally

Here are the projects I completed today (aside from demolding Jeff's bathroom and laundry) :c)

Matching Shabby Chic Dresses

Look close, because I even made my own bias tape, and trust me, that is a miracle itself!!!

Anna Kate was SOOO excited!

Now I have a request to make another one for Julianne (the Bitty Baby)....

As I was putting my things up I came across all my scraps of fabric. I did a quick Google search for ideas on how to use those scraps.

This is what I came up with

A new camera strap cover :)

I LURVE it! Don't you?

I followed THIS TUTORIAL then strung them on a long piece of yarn to make a garland. I LOVE how it turned out!!! Gives just enough pizazz to the window.

Following church and lunch we hit the lake. Honestly, I don't think there is anything more relaxing, other than the beach, than cruising on the boat.

It was a perfect Mother's Day!!!! :-)

**Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in our lives. We genuinely missed spending time with each of you.**

Picnics, Paintings, Pretty Rooms & Princess

Confused? LOL! Let me explain...

We attended Jeff's work picnic last Saturday. It was fun, but hot. We even had matching shirts ;-)

Photobucket

And this week I worked on several projects. Here, I'll show you.

I painted this bulletin board for my great-niece who is turning one! The theme of her party is princess, so I think it's fitting :)

Photobucket

Then I decided AK needed one. Well of course she had to pick out the design and what she wanted written on it.

Photobucket

So once I hung her bulletin board I started fiddling with the rest of her room.

Anna Kate attended the annual Night With the Queens Relay for Life fundraiser tonight. She loves the event and looks forward to it every year. She was so excited for her princess makeover :)

Photobucket

She met up with her BFF and the reigning Little Miss Eufaula, Anslee :)
