More Beach Video's

Anna Kate decided to get brave, and venture out into the ocean to play in the waves, all by herself. Now grandparents, before you get your panties in a wad, (ha!) do know that she was carefully supervised and knew her boundaries. Anyway, we were pretty impressed with her mad wave-jumping skills :c)

Here she is during her annual Build-A-Bear experience. I will preface by saying that she clearly is growing up too fast; when we got in line to stuff her new puppy, she watched the girls in front of us do the silly little dance & skit required by the overly enthusiastic B-A-B employees, and she looked back at me and said, "Mama, PLEASE tell me I don't have to do that, it's embarrassing!!"

*sniffles*

And finally, these are from our dinner trip to Baytowne Wharf one evening. She decided she wanted to try the bungee trampoline. I will apologize in advance for you having to turn your head upside down to view the video's. I have no idea how to rotate them...

Lee Family

Happy Birthday

Yep, America and good 'ole me share the same birthday :) It's kind of cool having fireworks and a guaranteed day off of work every year!

Jeff surprised me with this heavenly little treat;


A 7-layer chocolate cake. I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful it was. He sure knows the way to my heart ;-)

Full House

It's a Full House marathon in our house right now. Anna Kate has discovered the cute little 80's/90's sitcom and has become certifiably obsessed. I'm not kidding either. She spent her entire Saturday afternoon parked in front of my laptop watching. I literally had to MAKE her come outside and go swimming with me.



No worries though, I've taken this new found love of hers and turned it into a powerful bargaining chip. LOL :)

6 going on 16!

If you guessed this post is about Anna Kate, then you would be 100% correct! I've always heard parents say their young daughters like to think they are teenagers, but man is it ever so true right now!

This summer we have been so blessed to have a lovely young lady (a senior in high school) named Morgan, come to our home and keep Anna Kate while Jeff and I work. Anna Kate adores her and vice verse. They have been doing all kinds of fun things together like, baking brownies & muffins, going to the library, swim lessons, shopping, VBS, hanging out with friends - the list goes on and on. The arrangement really couldn't work any better. The one and only drawback is that our sweet little 6 year old child now thinks and acts like she is 16...right down to the eye-rolling, huffing and saying things like, "whatever" and "pa-leeze!". I guess because she spends five days a week 'hanging' with teenage girls she thinks she IS one. I don't know that I can handle twelve more years of teenage attitude. LOL!

Today, Anna Kate, Morgan and Morgan's mom are in Dothan shopping. Morgan text this picture to me with the following caption (referring to the shoes): "Morgan, these look zippy!"


A short time later I received the following text from Morgan's mom:
"Hey Katie! This is ****, Morgan's mom. I think we're just going to keep Anna Kate. Lol! She is precious! :) "

Jeff's reply to that statement was simply, "Little fart knows how to work em...."
