Friday, Anna Kate & I went to see Disney on Ice with her preschool. We rode with some friends, and I can't tell you how excited the girls were.

This show ten-dollared me to death! $10 for a box of popcorn, $10 for an icee in a Tinkerbell cup and $15 for a program and Tinkerbell pen that Anna Kate broke in the first five minutes of sitting in our seats. Nonetheless, it was a REALLY good show.

**Why she can put her precious smile on for everyone else and then wear this plastic 'if-I-must' expression with me.....well I just don't understand.**

I took a ton of photos during the show, but most were blurry and/or dark. The lightening just wasn't conducive for photography without a flash. Here are the few I managed to save.

Yesterday Jeff and Anna Kate went Crappie fishing (I hope I spelled that correctly) while I cleaned the house. Look how they made out :c)

She came home SO proud of herself for touching the fish!!! Then she rubbed her hands all over my face because she knows how I hate the smell of fish and lake water....

My mom and dad's birthdays were this past week, and although I did call them on those days, I wanted to post a message on here as well :0)

Easter on the Lake

Last week we met Jeff's sister, Stacy, and her family for our annual camping trip. We didn't realize it was Easter weekend until weeks before our trip....oops -so we just decided it would be fun for the Easter Bunny to visit the camp sites too.

We all had a great time. The weather was gorgeous, a little chilly at night, but nothing a good warm campfire didn't cure. It was EXTREMELY windy the entire time, which did make it feel cooler, but other than that and some thunderstorms, it was perfect.

I have a gazillion pictures to edit, but I don't want to leave you with nothing, so here's a few I've finished so far. More to come....

Happy Birthday to Jeff!!!!

Today is Jeff's 41st birthday, and poor thing is sick. However, Anna Kate greeted her daddy first thing this morning with 'Happy Birfday Daddy', which made him instantly feel better :c)

Jeff picked AK up from school and met me at the restaurant, but before I got there I stopped and picked up some balloons as a little surprise - HUGE HIT!!!

My favorite part of the dinner was when the wait staff came out with the traditional sombrero and sang a Spanish version of 'Happy Birthday'. The expression on Anna Kate's face was p.r.i.c.e.l.e.s.s - she didn't have any idea what was going on. It was hilarious!!!!

After dinner we came home where she opened her gift from 'E'......oh my, the excitement! I think the pictures are definitely descriptive on their own :c)

Now the day is coming to an end, and I think it's safe to say our little FIVE year old girl had a wonderful birthday!! We love you very much Boodle :c)

Party Pictures

I simply don't have the words to describe the party experience. For one, I'm still exhausted and secondly, I'm still exhausted. I did put a slide show together for you though, complete with captions. That counts for something, right? LOL :c)

Seriously though, the girls had a fantastic time and were all very well behaved. There were, of course, a few moments of 'girl drama', but that was to be expected and nothing major. With the help of Anna Kate's baby sitter (thanks a million Kaitlyn!), we were able to get all the girls bathed, teeth and hair brushed and pj's on successfully. The first to sleep was Anna Kate around 10:00, followed by Anslee at 10:30, Morgan at 11:00 and Aubrie FINALLY drifted off at 11:45.

It was a wonderful experience for Anna Kate and I can totally see these four girls spending many nights together giggling, dancing, crying and talking for years to come!

A special thanks to those who helped pull this off by taking pictures, assisting with the activities and listening to my endless chatter and planning (you know who you are). Also, to Anna Kate's Pre-K teacher, thank you for tolerating her hyper activity and please excuse her two yellow 'Y's' last week - I thought she was going spontaneously com bust from excitement! And finally, to Jeff....thank you for financially supporting my ideas and making the party happen for Anna Kate.

Kindergarten - NOOOOO!!!!

Jeff & I had an appointment this morning at the Primary School to tour and register Anna Kate. I simply cannot believe it is time for her go to REAL school *sniff, sniff*. I know she's ready though and she will adjust so quickly (I don't know about her mama & daddy though)....

We were SUPER impressed with the school and teachers. We had the opportunity to observe several kindergarten classes - in one, the kids were actually working on MATH (when I was in kindy we were learning our ABC's and 123's) - and visited the library, computer lab (my child will be going to the computer lab on a weekly basis...that's crazy!), music room and art room. We met with the Principal, who is a.w.e.s.o.m.e and spent a lot of time with us chatting and answering our questions.

Jeff & I left there with a 'warm & fuzzy' feeling and know this is the right place for her......we just can't believe it. Where did our baby go?!

And because I know how utterly pointless this post would be without pictures, I leave you with Anna Kate before school this morning (the pics are terrible b/c of low lighting and my flash wasn't charged.)
